Grades 3-5
In grades 3-5, students continue to grow as independent thinkers and faithful learners, building upon the strong foundation developed in the primary years. Our academic program balances rigorous instruction with spiritual formation, encouraging students to explore, question, and deepen their understanding of both academics and their Catholic faith.
In Grade 3, students remain with one primary teacher, allowing for a supportive transition from the early grades. Emphasis is placed on developing stronger reading comprehension, structured writing, mathematical reasoning, and foundational concepts in science and social studies. Students also begin to take more responsibility for their learning and develop critical organizational skills using a binder, agenda, and daily communication card.
In Grades 4 and 5, students engage in departmentalized model, rotating between three dedicated teachers who specialize in core subject areas. This structure prepares them for middle school and promotes deeper learning in each discipline. With focused instruction in Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Religion, students benefit from expert guidance and a more dynamic learning experience. Religious education remains central, with daily opportunities to connect classroom learning to Catholic values and traditions.
Throughout grades 3-5, students are encouraged to think critically, work collaboratively, and act with integrity. Our dedicated faculty and faith-filled environment ensure that each child continues to grow academically, spiritually, and socially during these important years.
